We in Tennessee are getting some pretty rough weather now, I am located below Knoxville slightly, it's moving towards me.

I was searching for a good radar source and found this site that seems to be loaded with options for weather related things.

Just click at top to make changes and type in your zip to get your local, neat I thought.

Of course it has a few pesty pop ups now and then..............

Accuweather.com Great weather site. I have used them for years. There are many good sites out there and you can t use them all and this was the best i had found for me so i stuck with it.

POP UPS !!!! You have a problem with POP UPS ! This is the day and age you need at least 3 things on your computer running. #1 anti virus software (Nortons) #2 Firewall (free) ( zonealarm.com) #3 pop up blocker. (Panicware pop up stopper ) You should also run you microsoft update on a regular time frame and you should also have a spy ware cleaner to run at least once a week. Here is a awesome pop-up stopper (FREE) i have used for 5 years. Never a pop up do i get. here is the free pop up stopper link. http://www.download.com/3000-7786-10490082.html Here is the ad-aware cleaner link (free) http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10399602.html?tag=lst-0-1

Over the years I used to have a ton of crap on my system and it was a real headache maintaining it. Now I run almost naked :red: , and guess what, my system is a whole lot faster again, starts up very quickly and has been trouble free. The secret is 1) A hardware firewall (Linksys) 2) Anti-Virus (prefer McAffee) 3) Use Mozilla or FireFox with it's built in popup blocking.

I don't use MS products for email or browsing. There's nothing else on my system and no other changes except not visiting sites where you know you're asking for trouble. (That's what the mac is for. :)) I've been running this way for a year now and it is such an improvement.

I got a power book and 2 ibooks they do ok with no protection...they just seem to breakdown an awful lot.....poor quality control from apple?

I have 2 p4 desktops one is 2.4 and one is a 1.8 I run the free stuff from verizon online and it is the best defense for popups and virus I've ever had the pleasure to use on the windows 2k machine.
