I finally got a chance to paint my insert. It had been used years ago but spent a good while sitting in a garage. It was mechanically sound and in good shape but had plenty of rust. Stripped it down and gave it 3 light coats of Stove Bright flat black. Turned out nicely... Love it!

Why do my pictures post sideways?? All fine on my computer?
