Hello,
Thanks for letting me join your forums. I recently started using this old wood stove. I'm guessing it's from the 80's maybe. It came from my parents house. It's been sitting in the basement there since I can remember. St least 30 years.
The burn time on this is horrible. I'm loading this thing like every 2 hours with good, seasoned red oak. Once I get it going good I close the damper all the way but it just sucks air through the door hindges. Seems like maybe s poor design. Anyone have any info as to model and if their are parts available to upgrade. Seems like a decent stove but I'm going through s face cord of wood every 3 to 4 days and waking up to an ice cold house every morning.

Wondering if the thermostat is stuck open. @BKVP would know more about what to check.

One thing that is disturbing is the proximity of the curtain, wood and combustibles to the stove. They are too close.

Wow...the door rope gasket is toast! That model uses 1.5" door rope gasket. Start with that....and download a KTJ302 Manual from blazeking.com archives. Check all clearances.

_g That probably will not be for sale at the local hardware store. Does BK still supply it?
