It's here! My stove arrived this morning at 0845 and I'm so happy and warm. The two installers poured a bag of pellets into the hopper and set it to automatic temp around 76. He then turned the fan to high to burn off the new scent of the stove.

My wonderful heat is felt throughout my rancher. The thermostat in the livingroom hallway is reading 81 degrees. I turned the house thermostat down to 55 degrees.

I'm going to let the pellets burn completely out because the township inspector will be out tomorrow to inspect my new stove. Also, I was given a DVD to help me get aquainted with my stove. I want to thank everyone for enlightening me with your knowledge. Everyone stay warm!

Thanks, it's supposed to snow early tomorrow morning through the afternoon. I'm glad I have the stove plus took vacation this week.

Congrats! Enjoy the heart. Not sure what type of heat you were using and turned down to 55 but if hydronic, consider installing a thermguard or cycling the heat with your thermostat.

Congrats! Install looks somewhat like ours except colors (brown Accentra, and we had painted the brick hi-gloss pale green to cover previous owner's decades of soot).


BTW, we found that a used armoire can be had really cheap on Craigslist and makes a great stereo cabinet.

Glad you mentioned... the APC BE750G UPS has surge protection in it. Is that surge protection enough for the pellet stove? Yes, my house has smoke and CO protection in the hallway.

Great! Now I'm waiting for the inspector to show up at my house so I can fire my baby up. It's snowing here in Jersey and the temp outside is currently 21 F

LOL re: my plants! I meant "CO". Btw, the inspector came out this afternoon and signed off. He suggested I put another battery CO detector in my familyroom. So this I will do. Also, I took my completed inspection & permit to my insurance company (State Farm) to have the stove added to my homeowner's policy and was told no need to add or change anything, since the stove went into an existing fireplace.
