VX or VXL?

Im' looking to replace the bar on my CS-400. I have a power sharp system on this saw now but I'm not sold. I know Oregon says the VX is"low profile". What does this mean and are there any suggestions here?

Low profile chain has a smaller cutter than standard chain. The VXL has a tooth 33% longer than the VX. I've never used a power sharp, it always sounded like a gimmick to me ?
