Installed stove new couple months ago. Seemed to run ok maybe a month then smoke billows out the door whenever it’s opened. Cleaned the stove pipe that didn’t help. Tried warming the pipe with a heat gun, then burning newspaper up the pipe that didn’t help. Opened a nearby exterior door same result. Tried talking to a tech but they’re not returning calls. Any thoughts?
Does this whether it’s kindling, newspaper, cardboard or seasoned wood. I’m unclear about how this stove is supposed to work. It has a baffle board up high supported with air tubes which are not plugged up.

Check the top of the chimney and the cap for plugging. If the wood is poorly seasoned, creosote buildup may be plugging the cap screen.

Haven’t been able to get on roof due to snow and ice since it began. But maybe tomorrow since it’s supposed be rain. But I have observed smoke coming out of the cap during my attempts so I know it’s not plugged completely.

Do you have binoculars? They can give you a close up view without going on the roof.

Is there a nearby kid with a drone that want to earn $10?
