We decided not to purchase a PE stove due to current costs.

I have been researching the Osburn 2000 and Drolet 1800. Any thoughts on comparing these two? I see little info on length of overnight burns with the Osburn. How do secondary burn chambers compare?

Does the Osburn qualify for the US tax credit?

Thanks in advance

Any thoughts?
It’s the same internals. I believe. So you are paying more for the looks of the Osborn. I have the Drolet 1800 insert. It’s decent. Amazing value.

The Ideal Steel is a very different stove with a cat an a larger firebox. It would be better to compare it to the Drolet HT3000, or Legend III (or Osburn equivalent). The IS is a good stove, there are many positive reviews and reports. Check out the Woodstock section.

I added Ideal Steel to the title.
