The woodstock crew is awesome - I sent a pic of a big white oak we have in our yard that has had momma bears run cubs into it twice over the years, and the ridge behind it. I also sent very crude cartoon I drew, paying homage to an old pic of my own momma bear watching our 2 cubs climb. Here's what they came up with:

I like that OS, what do you have in mind for colors?

Thanks, weatherguy. We'll do Black and probably tan. Basement is still a rather blank canvas.

That looks really good. Didn't know they could do that

Me too, for some reason I thought you could pick from a set of canned designs only. That custom work is really cool.

The designs is one of the first things mentioned about that stove while it was still in R&D. They have a great machine to cut out designs and a great artist who can make pretty much any design you want.

Real nice design you've got there. That will be a pretty stove.

Look forward to swapping experiences this fall :)

Can't wait to see pictures of the final product when it is installed.

Does it cost extra? I have actually been in touch with them in regards sending one of their stoves Down Under - trying to get a good deal with the shipping. It will work out quite reasonable compared to a decent stove over here.

Sorry forgot to mention - i have looked at a few designs and your bear one is the best i have seen ==c

Its $1799 base price and then there's a few add ons but if you get the works I think its $2200 or so, I'll have to check my records but the works includes soapstone instead of firebrick inside, soapstone panels on the side with those cutouts of whatever design you want, trivets on the top and an ash pan.

Correct.

You get with the works:

Andirons
ash pan
top burners/trivets
soap stone in the leg panels
soap stone lined firebox
side panel design
free custom design (only if pre-ordered before 5/2/14 with the works)

These add up to 2335 if you ordered separately (the custom design would be an additional charge on top of that).

If you just want an efficient box, you could save some $$ and just order the basic. We wanted our own custom design, hence the works is pre-ordered for us (not to hijack the thread, but I have a similar one here https://www.hearth.com/talk/threads/look-what-i-just-pre-ordered.126886/)

Great deal for a very efficient stove.

How about a couple kangaroos on the stove? Maybe some parrots?
I was actually thinking about a kookaburra...or a snake or a Kookaburra carrying a snake.........

But now i have seen yours - maybe a Gum tree with a Kookie on the branch..:)

That would be cool! You need an alarm with a Kookie call to tell you when to engage the catalyst.

Nevermind, that would get old....fast.

I want this on my deer stove (only a buck grunt).......

I wonder if I should call woodstock :)

What do you think the shipping costs would be?
