Look what I just pre-ordered

So here it is, the pre-order has been placed and they are working hard on the designs. Here is the rough draft of the top burners

The andirons

And the side design

We took advantage of the natural blue in the stone and decided an outdoor theme would be great. Since I am an avid deer hunter, we thought it would be a great theme for our family room.

So what do you think??

Great design, going to look great. Thinking hard about a pre-order but not sure on colors and may just go wtih the dragon theme. Going to get moving before the pre-order offer ends.

You know it is funny you mention that.......they haven't completed the color choices yet, so we haven't been able to pick.

Black will be the primary color, but the wife will get to pick a trim color (probably end up being a brown or a green, but that's up to her).

Once I get further in the process I will post an update.

Looks very cool. I'll be interested to read about the color choices. It's important to involve the "women folk" in decision making with respect to the stove... esp. if you want them to be fully "on board" with its care and feeding!

Also my concern for the current Andirons design but the designs are pretty sweet looking.

If I remember correctly, the andirons are 1/2" thick.
Might help if the design isn't too skimpy in the other direction/plane.

The wife wanted does somewhere on the stove, so we went with that (the other choice for andirons was antlers).

I absolutely live by the phrase "if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy".

I wanted a deer themed stove, beyond that, I don't really care if they are does or bucks.

That is the thickness on the beta stoves......they may be thicker on the production models. Either way, 1/2" steel is nothing to laugh at considering most stoves don't have a single part in them that thick.

I talked to Mike at Woodstock today. He said they are playing around with the idea of adding a thermostat to the Ideal Steel ... I really wish they would!

I hope not. I prefer the nice indicators that they are cutting into the ash lip. You find the setting that works well for you (for say an 8 hour burn) and you put it there. I don't like the thermostats.........

I was leaning toawards a deer scene, but her reply was "Don't we have enough deer stuff? " She's got a point...Working up a mama bear/ 2 cubs theme for her and the boys. We have bears here all the time, she loves them.

One even got on the deck and looked in on her while she was cooking.

I fed it her meatloaf, he hasn't been back since...

I wanted to dragon stove, cause what better creature is there to put on a box full of fire. The wife doesn't like dragons or any sort of stuff like that. She saw the moose design and said "I wonder if they could do that in white tail deer".....SOLD
