Hi all, so after building a wood supply for almost 18 months(just under 10 cords) Its time to get the fireplace installed. I started by removing my brick chimney which was in our garage. Wanted to build an enclosure in the garage to house the fireplace so it would sit flush with the living room wall, but the rail for my garage door was in the way so it will sit about 8 inches into the house. This friday is when they come to install the unit. Here are some pics with what I have done so far will post more on the coming weekend after the install and with the installation of the stone.

Got the unit installed and started on the cement board and stone. If it wasn't for all the turkey dinners this weekend I probably have it done. Can't tell you about its performance yet, haven't started a fire yet :(

Looking sharp!

I'd love to put one of those in my house someday.
