just wondering have a 1220sq ft cabin the space im heating is 1000 or better stove is located in main room just one level main floor just wondering looking at 3100 millenium quad or the pacific energy steptop super 27 to heat cabin kinda leaning toward super 27 steptop more btus but will the quad burn longer i see as well super 27 higher efficiency help

I don't know much about the quad, but I'm sure it's a nice stove. The Super is a very popular stove here. It gives good burn times and doesn't chew threw wood. It would be fine for what you are trying to heat if you have decent insulation. Don't pay attention to manufacturer BTU claims. Firebox size is what is important. 2 cuft should be able to give you heat throughout the night with some coals in the morning. I would also consider getting the blower to help distribute the heat a little better.

The Super 27 is known for it's long burn times and it has a simpler, tougher baffle system.

For a cabin the PE True North might also be worth looking at.

Both stove mentioned are quality stoves. You probably won't go wrong with either one. That said, I would probably go with the 27. It has rock solid performance with reports of extended burn times. Just one dudes opinion.

Thanks guys chappy There is a furnace in cabin as well which is set at a temp of 10 degrees or so.It is a year around cabin need to keep it warmer not there all the time maybe every second weekend or so it was only 900 sq ft previous owners added on the extra bedroom later and now it is 1220sq ft. I have an old lopi in there right know it 20 years old it is a small stove i will go with the super 27 steptop have a existing hearth I was even thinking of the 4300 quad as well same money as the super 27 steptop except the 4300 would be a flattop and i dont really know about the quad timers much but if i get a good burntime with not so much heat as long as they are good stoves
