Nice morning indeed! See your truck handled the load very well. I am taking that as the 1.3 ton pallet?

I'm honestly a little jealous right now! ;-P

Yup, 1.3 tons. Ram Tough!!!

gotta be a 3/4 ton, though...mine would split in half with that much in it!

Nope. 1/2 Ton Ram 1500 Sport 4X4. I've done 3100 lbs of pea stone in it before(guy with the bulldozer was a little heavy handed)....but that was a squirelly ride for sure.

wow, I'm shocked. sounds just like mine...except for the "sport" part...you don't suppose that comes w/ stiffer springs? (mine is a '00 4x4 quad-cab 1500).

Maybe the photo makes the "nose-up" less pronounced, because you were looking down on it.

The camper or tow pac options have heavier rear springs.

My tow pac 06 F150 handles 1 ton no problem. I have not tried the 1.3 ton stack. It should handle it, but I won't push it.

Can always make 2 trips. Don't think it would pass a GVW inspection. I don't need anymore tickets either!

If you look closely, the truck is definitely "nose up" a little.....nothing terrible, but it "knows" there's 2600 lbs. in the back.

EDIT: Yes, you made BTU's day, for sure!!!!

Very nice, wish i could get that brand, i hear such good things about them.

I can get 2 1.3 ton pallets in my truck

Heres my ride...

Look at all the exercise you missed out on sliding those down there... but i guess you still have to carry them all back up...lol.

Well, I am a couple bags in on these Okies, and I'm impressed. Pretty low ash, throw real nice heat and the least fines I have ever seen even after being dropped from the pallet stack to my tailgate, lugged into the basement and re-stacked. Plus my cellar smells nice and 'woody' now.

Jay, I KNOW where to get them, but it involves about a 85 min drive (one-way) over to your neck of the woods...too far just for a couple of bags to try. BTU tried finding them near me, but no luck....none of the BJ's near me are carrying them this year either.

You mean to say I am finally going to beat you at something? I can't believe it.

Why do we think of these pellets like toys=He/she who tries the most wins? JK!

I will tell you first on what I think of them. Then BTU. As long as you promise to save a few tons for me. I gotta keep my eye on your pellet glutting habit ya know!

LOL, when I saw pellet porn, I didn't know what to expect. You guys and your toys, too funny!!!

I bought several different types of pellets to try out, one of them is the Okanagans. It's nice this year to be able to do that, while last year it was buy whatever you could get your hands on. It was tough to try anything.

Guilty...I might be 600 of those views......... :red:

Don't be so modest BTU....I'm sure it was closer to 625 ;-P

And it wasn't me for the rest of them..."I don't look at the pictures...I'm just here for the jokes"

Holy mackrel, you put one of those oversize pallets in the back of a 1/2 ton and it didn't bottom out on the axle just sitting there? What you got under that thing anyways? I once tried to put one of those 1.5 ton pallets in an F250 and it went right to the axle immediately just sitting there. Sliding it forward as I usually do didn't do any good either. We had to break it down and redistribute it around the bed to make it fly. Funny, you can carry a ton and a half of gravel in a box and it rides beautifully in any half ton but those pallets do booger up the weight distribution. Take a sharp turn and you might become the next youtube star. You don't see many of those big palleta around here anymore. I was surprised that they didn't make a comeback when the fuel pirces were sky high but they didn't even them. I get the impression people and businesses don't like them any more than I do.

Try installing a set of Firestone Ride Rite air bags on your rig and run the schrader valve to the fender or near the license plate. They can take up to 100 psi and work great at taking the slop out of the ride when you have the bed full. Gas em up when you want to carry a heavy load and bleed them back down for a more comfortable ride. Just make sure you don't get too happy with piling on the added weight.... You can still break stuff. As with anything....best to do it in moderation! (right). I take a one ton pallet and 15-20 extra bags per load in my 1/2 ton 01 Toyota Tundra.... One more thing, lock out your OD on those automatic transmissions when carrying/pulling heavy loads. OD clusters do not take well to being loaded... unless your empty hustling down the hiway at 65 mph.
