Question:
I am adding on to our house and would like to use a pellet stove for heat. I was wondering can you install a pellet stove insert into a wall without being in a fireplace? Is it possible if there is space between the insert and any walls and flame resistance material is used for the wall covering (i.e. fire resistant dry wall, etc.) I would appreciate any information you could give me on this.
Answer:
Many of the pellet inserts on the market are listed and approved for this exact type of installation. Ask the people at Travis Industries about their LOPI and Avalon brands
