What pellet stove would you recommend for a 2,400 sq ft home , location will be on the main floor with a lofted ceiling about 20 feet . I would like the pellet stove to have a digital thermostat option where I can set a weekly schedule and maybe even connect to my phone and have a thermostat I can keep next to my oil burner thermostat in the next room . Open to suggestions , thanks!

I have 2500sq ft house and had Harmon XXV since 2018. It's great. Putting in Heat Pump for extreme cold weather (-20f use). So pellet stove won't be used as much. Use couple box fans blowing cold air to living room with 20ft ceiling. Keeps house hallway at 74f. .5-2 bags daily. I put in Battery backup and this year replacing batteries with 200ah batteries. Now have 100ah Batteries. But 6 years old. Might get another year. Have to determine that this summer. Real World Test with Blow Dryer or heater. AIMS 1250 Inverter/Charger.

Love my Englander 10-cpm since 2008. 2400sqft, 4bed rm, 2 story. Open floorplan. Propane furnace hasn't been on since spring of 2009. Just ordered my 2nd burn pot and stirrer.

I have a Harman P43. It would heat that space if the windows and insulation are good. You can have whatever you want for a thermostat but it would be extra. It comes with a probe for temp control.
Edit - oh this is an oldy post - oh well

very interested in this thread. i have a Jotul F3CB on the main floor at about 1000 ft sq in the main living area. i have a PE Summit in the basement that has been running for about 3 weeks now with the extra cold we got. I'm 73 and its not as easy cutting and splitting nor is it fun restacking 3-4 cord of firewood a season. looking at replacing my little Jotul on the main floor with a pellet stove.

I bought my P43 about a year ago and love it. I had to decide between a wood stove and a pellet stove. I went with the pellet stove, as I wanted the stove in the basement. I don't really have any wood I can get for free, but can get pallets of pellets delivered, and store them in my garage. Then I carry them down in 5 gal buckets. It is working out good. I can easily burn 12 hours before reloading. It's like having a noisy wood stove. One of the drawbacks is you need to be half mechanic, and half cleaner, but I'm OK with that.

Depends on the budget. PelPro if the budget is small, Harman if not.
