Pellet Stove Vacuum Tool!

Hello

I have been trying to find something to test vacuum switches with that is more than just an ohm meter.

Many times these vacuum switches fail due to a slight tear in the bladder but only cause a problem after the stove warms up!

With the tool below if the vacuum switch holds the vacuum after a couple of hand pumps and if it holds the pressure then chances are it is really good!

MityVac makes are good plastic one. This Pittsburg vac tool I found is all metal. Both tools cam be purchased at Harbor Freight. The Pittsburg was Reg $49.95 on Sale for $26.95 and with the 25% off coupon, I scored it for only $20 ! ! !

Nice scale in mmHG that can be converted to WC (Water Column) to get a good idea of what the trip point is!

PS. I like those heavy Metal Cleaveland Control Vacuum Switches better too!

Has anyone else used this tool? Do you like it?

2nd pic shows O ohms (Closed Circuit) since the pressure applied is above the trip point and the vacuum is holding so the switch is really good!

yes, but the first time I went there, I filled up the shopping cart for only $85 and that included a 3 gal air compressor!
