I have seen some info on pellet stoves being legal in NY state but how about NYC? Laws and/or codes are not always the same when it pertains to NY City as there are for the rest of the state.
Thanks
Yes I remember reading somebody from Queens had a stove going. Can't remember which thread though. But wether it's legal or not is a whole different thing.
Code is unifrom citywide. BTW, there is little residential code enforcement in private homes, absent a complaint, but an out of code install might be a problem when it is time to sell.
Brings back memories...don't forget about the ladies of ill repute along with a Rolex and the DVD's.
I remember 30 years ago hauling oversized loads to Jacob Javitz for expo's (I worked for the riggers that set up machinery expositions and we did Javits, the old WTC, McCormick in Chicago, Gateway in St.Louis, ISX in Cleveland, DC Expo in Washington and a few others but New York was always a hoot.
3AM in the morning coming right through Times Square on Broadway with a 12 foot wide 60,000 pound machinery hi-lo on a 50 ton Talbert detachable with a flip axle and the outriggers extended...and stopping at a light and getting accosted by a hooker at 3AM.... Only in New York.
Why I mentioned permits earlier. We never had permit one for NYC. I did it for years. I'm too old for the excitement now.
