So my wife and I are probably going to bite the bullet and do a couple of things...

1) Get geothermal installed
2) get brand new ductwork (so my house is actually capable of heating itself

We had one visit from an HVAC guy who concluded (based only on my propane setup) that the installers of the newer end of the ductwork were "buffoons" (we knew that already), and to compensate the propane furnace is about 2x over sized and has about 1/2 of the return air it needs to operate efficiently.

On the same note, my wife is really, really getting tired of helping me haul 5-8 tons of pellets a year downstairs for the PF-100.

So we're getting a quote for geothermal. We'd leave the 2 pellet stoves we have installed upstairs.

So, long story short, what's the general community opinion on what i could get if we decided to sell our PF-100 thats about 2-3 years old, still operational, and probably just needs a good clean out?

There's one for sale in my area for $2000 and another one for $2200. The new one out is a PF120, not sure if it's supposed to be better or just bigger.

Good place to start is half the tag price.

Id pay more if I saw it still hooked up operating.

I dont even remember what I paid for it, but it works well. Once we are 100% sure we're going through with Geo I'll see if I can get $1500-$2k out of it.

I'd pay that in a heartbeat for a good, working PF 100. Can't find those used around here, when you do they're pretty well used up. I wish you weren't so far away. I'd rather have the PF 100 over the St. Croix I'm about to hook up. Good luck with the sale.
