I have a Brother printer/scanner/fax.
Won't print shipping labels. Spits them out blurred or blank.
CAN print pages off the internet , NO problems.
Things Ive done so far: Updated Adobe
Changed all printer cartridges except the black (still half left) and don't have an extra. The 3 color cartridges were all nearly gone.
Runs test prints fine .Even before I changed ink cartridges.

Any ideas ?????????? This printer is not all that old. 2years.

Did they print before? Are the labels you are trying to print for ink jet printers? Will it print the label on a regular sheet of paper? Why update Adobe? Is it an Adobe program you are using to create/print the labels? If they are avery labels, you can always go to their website, type the label style# in and use their templates.
Not sure what could be the issue, you can try updating the print driver too, Epson has the all of them on their website.

Did it ever print them OK?

I've got a Brother Laser MFC. I had to download an updated driver from the Brother site, from the get go, so it would scan legal sized stuff with the sheet feeder. Thought that was weird, but anyway. So you might have to update your driver.

For labels I got a Brother label printer (QL-700) for a dedicated label printer, for less hassles with paper changing & feeding etc.. Seems to work OK - had it a couple years now. No cartridges to change either, it's thermal.

Yes it has printed labels fine since day one. Thousands of them ! Yes, all labels on plain copy paper.
I'm starting to wonder if its not out of black ink and the printer isn't sensing it ??? The indicator light says its nearly full.

Try running 4-5 cleaning cycles on the black print head. If that doesn't improve printing, the print head may need cleaning or replacement.

Thanks . Must be cleaning the heads individually does a better job. Works great now.

Yea! Long idle periods are hell on inkjet printers.
