i have been missing in action for a while as I was working with my dealer while waiting for the tech to come to my house for the 2nd time for the constant problems of my stove that we have installed late nov 2014.
-glass exploded after 1 month
-every day since then unit shuts off with several red flashing lights. 1 red light 4 red light no res lights at all flashing green but still a 20 degree temp difference.
-pellets do not come down to the fire pot and form a chunk stuck that actually catch alight.
-dealer calling me with possible solutions direct from quardrafire telling me to clean the fire pot 2 times a day... I do 2-4 times a day depending on how often the unit shut off and pellets get stuck. Telling me the set the airflow at -4 which it has been since the first visit from the tech 1 month ago. Dealer discovering airflow turns all the way with no stopping on their floor model as well as mine at home... This should not be happening
-quardrafire calling with a generic msg telling me to set the airflow at -4 to avoid glass exploding after I tell them this already happpened they keep talking as if I never said anything.
So the tech came out this Saturday at 1pm to replace the airflow switch since it was faulty. Hoping this would fix the problem at 6pm the unit is beeping indicating its lost communication again. My remote is 10 feet away from the Unit.
I wake Sunday at 530am to the wind chills outside at -29... I live in the Poconos pa and the unit has again shut off flashing red 1 time with the hopper still 1/2 full. Again 5pm last night pelts get stuck and unit shuts off. Again this morning 5am the unit lost communication. With remote and pellets stuck.
I am going to my dealer again once they open but also wrote an email to quardrafire again telling them of all of this as well as the possibility of looking into a lawsuit of exploded glass from a product that was being used for 1 month.
My dealer dreads seeing me I kniw, but for $5000, this should not be happening right??
That's the story so far
