Hi everyone,

Every time my dad powers up is quardrafire Castile the combustion blower starts up. The only way to shut it off is to kill the power. Now if the T-stat is calling for heat when power on occurs everything operates normally. Once set temp is reached stove behaves normally pellets stop, combustion blower stops then the convection blower stops. From this stopped, power on, state it will start back up just fine when t-stat calls for heat again.

Seems like a constant error in some self diagnostic routine? Any ideas on how to fix this? Do you think a new board would fix it?

Thanks Evan

Are you talking about the room distribution blower not the combustion blower ?

This is normal. If you turn the power on to the unit and leave it on, the blower will cycle off after the controller has gone through it's powerup procedure.

This should be listed in your owners manual.
