It has been a very reliable unit over the years. I installed it in January of 2007. Over the years, I have had to replace the convection motor 3 times because it was getting noisy, igniter was replaced once and one snap disc was replaced. Also replaced the tadpole gasket on the front door 3 times. Today, the combustion motor bearings started making excessive noise. Time to replace that one.
Considering the unit is over 13 years old and has run over 40 ton of pellets through it, I think that is is still not bad for repair costs. I think the key is the amount of cleaning that the unit receives. Less dirt to be able to get into the motor bearings.
Just wanted to let people know that older units are just as good, or even better, than the new units. The key is a persons cleaning regiment.
