Hi all~ We just moved into a house with a QuadraFire Mt Vernon AE Pellet insert, and we're trying to learn the ins and outs. We were originally getting the error message "Missed Ignition"...we cleaned it out and the got the error message "Combustion Blower Jammed." We took that apart and cleaned a ton of ash out of it and thought maybe that would be it. Now, when we turn it on, it says Start Up Mode, the pellets drop into the firepot but the ignitor never turns that cherry red. After about 10 minutes, the pellets drop into the ash tray, and it says Auto Clean, then starts over. There's no error message but the cycle continues and never seems to ignite. We are thinking we need to replace the ignitor - anything else we should be trying or consider?

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions!

a bad ignitor is a good possibility. If you have a multimeter check the resistance of the ignitor - the troubleshooting guide says that it should read around 36ohms. Do you have a means to light it manually? A handfull of pellets and a torch will do it. If no torch then a handfull of pellets and some hand sanitizer (for the alcohol) . The TC should sense the flame and turn on the combustion blower. This will trip the vacuum switch and tell the auger to drop pellets. here is troubleshooting guide (if I can attachi it)
