stove will not call for heat. Call light is off. It is getting power. I just replaced the control box a few months ago. Could it be bad again? Any other ideas of what it could be?

Thermostat or wires possibly

What he said. Check wire connections. May have to cut back to get into some good wire. You can test it by jumping the two screws where tstat wires attach on stove with a wire to see if stove starts.kap

What Mt Vernon do you have? Non AE or AE. If it's a non AE and it's been working fine as the others have said check your thermostat. If your using the wireless version that comes with the stove my bet is you need to change the batteries in the remote box connected to the stove. To check this out seperated the 2 spade connector wires connected to the left bottom rear of the stove and make a jumper wire, can use heavy speaker wire, and push the bare ends into the spade connector. My stove has spade connectors so yours may vary. The idea is to get the two wire posts connected. If it is a battery issue and your thermo is calling for heat the stove will come right on. Great time to change the batteries in the wireless controller also.

By the way this just happened to me last week. Good luck in getting her back up and throwing heat.

If by chance you have recently changed all the batteries have you changed brands of pellets recently. They can be the source of the problem also. The owners manual states the stove must be started on the Quad setting if it's a non AE stove.

If all else fails, change the batteries again. I have gotten brand new brand name batteries that were quite weak.

Thanks for the help. It was the thermostat wire. Had a bad connection in the wire where we had to originally put two wires together because we didnt have enough.
