Question for Progress Hybrid ash pan users

I've recently moved my short leg non-ashpan PH to a different home and part of the install was to go to the standard height legs.
Now this opens up the option of installing the ash pan. Because the stove was ordered with out it, the option is now more expensive- almost $375 with shipping and the bottom grate required for ash pan use. So my question for ash pan users - worth it?

I upgraded this year to the ash pan model after running the non ash pan model for two seasons. I have to say...I LOVE IT. It makes clean up SO much easier and much less messy, in fact there is literally no mess at all when emptying the ash pan because of the slide on pan cover and the overall design. It is also a breeze to clean the extra ash out of the firebox, simply rake the bottom with a fire tool and it falls into the pan. Before the stove room would be quite dusty...not so much anymore. If you plan on keeping that stove for awhile I have to say...go for the ash pan, you will not be disappointed.

oh...firefighterjake...see if they have any refurbished ash pans for the Progress. Price is considerably less based on my experience.

My Progress has an ash pan and I must say that I love it. It is a beautiful design with absolutely no problems.

I actually don't need one . . . was responding in the hopes that some folks might answer the OP . . . which they did. Mission Accomplished.

Thanks for the replys, I have ordered it along with an extra removable pan (for quick swaps). Price was not $375, must have got some bad info on my first call to Woodstock.
Nothing but positive reviews for the ash pan option - and less dust will keep the wife happy - priceless...
