Hello,
Here is my new stove- it was in the house I bought. The control knob on the side of it got modified, but it seems to work.
I've never seen one with this water jacket though, and I am curious how the PO had it hooked up at one time.
Does anyone recognize this stove? All the markings on the brass plans are rubbed off and the info panel in back is all painted over and I can't make anything out! Wood stoves like this are common up here in Alaska, lots of old blaze kings and earth stoves.
My first I used up here was Hearthstone II, that was a good stove. I collect all my firewood myself, so I know how much work it is to feed these big fire boxes. this particular stove is in the basement and I am not sure yet how well it will heat the upstairs living area. We just moved in to the place in September, so burning our first fire now. The polish I used to clean up the stove stunk up the basement, but what are you gonna do?
