Hi. Here in West Finland. I have just moved to a very rural spot to do some renovations and maintenace on this property. There is this very old REINO No.10 fire stove that I want to use to save on electricity to heat the house. I have never used one of these old things.. Anyone out there know how to use this thing.. The chimney inspector came here yesterday and says it good to fire up. They did not clean the chimney as apparently the moisture has done the job. This fireplace has not been used since 2011.

I'll be surprised if you find anyone on this forum having experience with that specific model, but you may luck out. Usually, first steps are:

1. Try to find any old literature or manuals that may exist online, or through manufacturer.

2. Start small, build a small fire in it, and see how it drafts and works. Work your way up over the course of a few days, in small increments, while debugging and/or learning its use.
