I always click on the 'accept cookies' tab, but have never received any.

The above proportion certainly doesn't represent my electric co-op. Ours baseload generation is coal. Not sure of the percentage tho.

Where I am we have a lot of fracking going on and I know the US have vast amounts of coal. I do not really like a lot of wind power--takes up a lot of room but they are making them smaller size now to where they won't hurt the birdies and this is good--no blades--interesting. Solar panels are good for individual houses in my estimation but the infrastructure takes up a lot of land and I am not too keen on that and the wildlife environmental concerns here on where all these large complexes will be placed on the land..They need a stable supply of energy that is trustworthy as well and efficient and its moving at a faster pace but there is still a whole bunch of work to be done..Its a beginning and the tide is turning so we will see..Interesting reading thanks..clancey

This is a cool stat, and the drive is all due to costs.

Fracked gas is cheap. Fracking for oil produces gas as a low-value side product, which makes gas stupid cheap.

Nukes are all legacy systems.

Renewables are stupid cheap.

These stats include biomass electricity generation that emits CO2, and which might emit net CO2.

Solar + wind is 10.5 % in 2020, IIRC. Hydro is 7% (not growing) and biomass + geo are a few percent more.
