Well folks, new on here. We currently have a gas fire in our sitting room that gives out no heat at all so we are looking at replacing it with either a free standing stove or an insert. Any recommendations on what one to install or what would look the best to go with the marble fireplace? Thanks

I am an Irish American so you probably are related to me. I would like to help.
What size house are you trying to heat? How cold does it get there?

What kind of wood is available for you there in Ireland?
How big is the room that the wood stove will go in to?

I will assure you that there is a wood stove that will crank out massive heat for your house and you will be happy with it.
