Replacement Ceramic Fiberboard Baffle

I am in the process of looking for a ceramic fiberboard baffle replacement for my NC30. My 4100i also uses the same material for a baffle. I found a website where it is sold in cartons of 12 pieces, each piece is 24" by 36" and it is 1/2" thick. It should be enough for 2 replacement cycles for the NC30. It appears as though you have to order them by the carton but I am looking into that now. I wanted to see if there was any interest on here if I were to buy a carton. It looks like I could get it shipped to you for around $30-40 a piece. On ebay they are $69. Let me know. I will update with more details, time frame, actual cost, etc if there is interest. I am not sure I am going to go through with it now. The shipping quote was $100. I am curious as to how much it would cost me to get it to anyone who wants it. I will look into that and make a decision. I will keep this thread updated.

skylinecomponents look these guys up on fleabay, they have anything you need. I bought a piece of 24"x36"x1", was $65-66 delivered. Works good!

FYI - does anyone know if a 1/4" stainless steel plate would work in place of the ceramic fiber board in stoves? Or, possibly, in conjunction? Just curious because I think about this stuff and know I will likely need to replace mine some day??

Metal would work, but I don't think it supports secondary combustion as well as the ceramic due to the ceramics high insulation value.

maybe an 1/8" stainless plate between the fire and ceramic to protect them a bit? Just a thought??

Not normally, unless you have "help" that loads the stove like they are bowling a strike!
