Replacing Ravelli RV100 top gasket cord

Would any gasket cord do? I have never replaced gasket cord before so I don’t really know what to buy or how to attach it. See photo. Thanks.

They sell Flat hopper lid gasket that already has adhesive ( peak and stick )on one side. Just be sure to clean the old adhesive best you can.

@rich2500 Think I could use high temp gasket maker and stick the existing one back on? It’s not in bad condition. The adhesive just fell apart and it doesn’t stick.
