My three year old Castine works very well, but at the end of last season I noticed some of the baffling (right name for the white rope-like stuff?) directly inside to the left side (facing the stove) looks pretty ragged. Should I replace this and if so, is it simple to do?

Would this be the gasket under the secondary baffle? If yes, sounds like it may need stuffing back in place. Pics will help if this is not the problem.
