Have to replace the ignitor on my direct vent unit natural gas unit. Currently the wire enters though the bottom of the firebox and is currently sealed with some sealant that inside the firebox is black (though is that its original color, who knows). On the bottom side it looks like the sealant is red.
What would be an acceptable sealant to reseal this hole with after replacing the ignitor. I've seen some posts saying RED rtv may be ok?
Thanks in advance.
