Hey all, scored 3 truck loads of free wood recently. Snapped some pics today of the second load and thought I would share. I just moved into my house in December, and this is my first time burning wood. So my work area is't quite in order yet. I've really got to pick a spot in the yard and get stacking this stuff. It keeps nuisance snowing here and It just makes everything harder. Oh well. Enjoy. [Hearth.com] Score pics. [Hearth.com] Score pics.[Hearth.com] Score pics. [Hearth.com] Score pics.

Welcome, Wil! :)
What kind of wood? Cherry in the last pic?

Sounds like me 18 months ago. Still working out all the logistics and processing methods.

Very nice score. I am going to have to get on some wood come the end of April.

Velcome, Vilhelm.......Nice truck, nice load of wood too! Whereabouts are you at in PA? I'm just west of State College.......

Thanks guys. Not sure why those two pics came out so dark?? Still not too good with the iPhone.

Woody - I'm not real sure of what types of wood are in there. I think the big pieces were maple, other than that I don't know. Still learning how to identify wood.

Scotty - I'm about 20 miles northwest of Allentown.

Tfd - not too close to Ephrata, but I've been there plenty of times!

Once the sickness sets in that pic of your work area will look clean, nice score.

My son played soccer for St. Francis in Loretto. love your neck of the woods

Real nice Wil...Welcome to the hearth come sit a spell....that is when you're not working on firewood.

3 loads is a good score!
Probably quit a bit over a cord if they were all loaded that full.

Got any pallets to stack it on?
Sooner it's stacked up off the ground, the sooner it starts drying. ;)

Not only the nuisance but that wood needs to be stacked up off the ground before it will dry much. Still, nice work.

Nice chart BD. That is the first time I have ever seen that one. Where did you get it?
