I began burning Sunday evening. These photos are from this morning. Chimney has just been cleaned before start up. I have some maintenance to do over the next week.

Reactions: all night moe
Got new center bricks, rebuilt fan. Cleaned chimney and WG heat exchange area and everywhere else I could at, but still on oil until cold temps are here to stay.

I bought new center nozzle bricks too. Going to put them in this weekend. Have to do a thorough cleaning as well as adjust rear doors, and reseal my exhaust pipe over to chimney.

How much of a job was the fan rebuild?

I have been doing a lot of burning until the boiler and buffer tank are heated up to about 185-190. Then shut it down. These temperatures we have been having are nice!

AHS did the rebuild while I watched, took him about 30 minutes. Would have taken me 2 hours I'm sure. They have done this many times and it would have been all new to me. Plus they installed "new & improved" parts that I would not have known about.

New nozzle ceramics installed and exhaust pipe resealed this weekend. Cleaning completed. Colder temperatures getting here slowly but surely.
