I began burning Sunday evening. These photos are from this morning. Chimney has just been cleaned before start up. I have some maintenance to do over the next week.
I bought new center nozzle bricks too. Going to put them in this weekend. Have to do a thorough cleaning as well as adjust rear doors, and reseal my exhaust pipe over to chimney.Got new center bricks, rebuilt fan. Cleaned chimney and WG heat exchange area and everywhere else I could at, but still on oil until cold temps are here to stay.
How are you guys doing? I've been awol from this site for no particular reason for quite a spell.
Hi Gasifier, I'm from Potsdam and I'm thinking about buying a wood gun e100. How does it handle the 0 degree weather we get? Do you wish you would have gotten a bigger model?Things are going well here. The first real colder temps just setting in. The Wood Gun is eating a good amount of firewood now. Good to see you here. I’ve been busier than usual this time of year. But, I suppose it’s keeping me healthy both physically and mentally. I need to start making the rounds more frequently on four or five forums I like to read and participate in. Lately I’ve been having fun working outside a lot with the milder temperatures.(Too mild.) But as it gets colder that will slow down.
Added @ sign to @Gasifier so that he would be tagged to stop by (maybe...depending on his email settings...)Hi @Gasifier
That seems to be a common thing, especially among gasser boilers. I know the Heatmaster G series guys all day the same thing, colder it is the better they run. Many say they use same, or less wood when it's real cold too, which is weird.I agree with Bob!
The colder the better for my WG also.
A Gasser without storage would be the case! Idling to maintain a coal bed uses a lot of BTU's . A Gasser has to run at full snort to achieve its efficiency !Many say they use same, or less wood when it's real cold too, which is weird.
