Question:
I am considering building a double-sided (see-through) fireplace, but am concerned about possible problems with smoking. In addition, my designer wants does not want to use any glass doors. What are my chances?
Answer:
The key is the exact design of the unit. You must use a flue large enough for both openings, and the correct height and width of the openings is important. In addition, the smoke chamber of the fireplace must be properly designed.
