Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forums and a noobie to the whole wood stove thing. I believe our stove is a Sierra 7000 and its been used. We want to get a new stove but with the chimney setup don't think we can unless we redo the whole thing. Anyway I took the pipes apart going to the chimney too clean and cleaned the inside the best i could, was having burn issues like the fire not getting hot enough unless I open the bottom damper. We have a temperature gauge but it didn't read on the pipe very well,so used it on the top of the stove. Our ash pan has a gasket around it and not sure if that's right,It was there when we got the house. Seems to burn a lot of wood just to get it hot enough. The chimney is above the roof line and I cleaned it 2 times this year.
