I really like that second one of the mountain valleyDifferent places,.simple phone camera, the sky plays a large role in the atmosphere the pics convey imo
I like that one of the lake or pond in the fall. You know, I have so many photos it's impossible to manage. I had a 35mm film and various digital ones over the years. I was taking pictures all the time. When the phones came out with good camera's I finally stopped hauling my Sony Alfa DSLR around with all the lenses. Still have it all though. That's in your country![]()
Wow where did you take those pics? Hard to find some where where the city lights are dim enough. What it a long exposure?
Those were all in the Mower Tract area of the Monongahela National Forest in the mountains of West Virginia near the town of Durbin. The mily way shots were long-ish. IIRC they were 20 seconds to try to get as much light as possible. Any longer and the stars turned into trails since I don't have one of those fancy star tracking camera mounts.Wow where did you take those pics? I have not seen them myself as I'm not near the north shore, and it's been very cold. Many on islanders have been out though and getting really good pictures and time lapse. I guess I should try and go outside as see some night before bed. I'm in the city with street lights and house lights so I'm not sure what I will see. I have been enjoying the pictures though.Something about watching the Northern Lights has a calming effect on me. My daughter and family moved to Houston TX and seeing the stars and the Northern Lights are the one thing see really misses. Too much light pollution.
I didn't know PEI had a city? I thought is was all open land and small fishing homes.I have not seen them myself as I'm not near the north shore, and it's been very cold. I guess we have two, Charlottetown (Birthplace of Confederation) the biggest, and Summerside near the bridge. The rest are small farming and fishing towns. The whole population of the island is 180000 and Ctown maybe 45,000. Those are people who live here. Then we have about a million tourists in the summer. We have cruise ships come in, sometimes 3 big ones the same day in port.I am not from here, I was born in Halifax, but I'm used to small cities and big cities. I lived in Vancouver for 5 years and outside of Toronto for many years.I didn't know PEI had a city? I thought is was all open land and small fishing homes.
Cool. Now I want to see that movie. I will have to try searching it on my TV. I went to college and university in Halifax and love Lunenburg. I like that whole south east coast. My friend went to vet school on PEI and i did location work on the movie Deloris Claiborne around Halifax and Lunenburg about 30 years ago.
