Smoke and Sparks coming out of the heat exchange Not just Sparks but smoke also this is not being discussed

Smoke and Sparks are coming out of the heat exchange on my pellet stove. In the back of fire pot has some kind of brick looking material and behind that is steel. Under pellet tube drop there was a little fire that could of went behind the brick sheet but how did it get to the heat exchange??? Head scratcher

It's a Whitfield Quest pellet stove. Looks like the back of fire brick was on Fire and smoking don't know why it looked like it coming out of the tubes of heat exchange?? Still scratching my head 😔
