Just what the post says...I occasionally get smoke that comes out the fan exhaust port on my 30-NC. There is not a fan hooked up to it currently. Is this normal? Do I need something to plug that up? Thoughts?

Is the stove new? If so it could be smoke from paint curing in that area as the stove reaches new high temperatures. What does the smoke smell like?
Not a new stove...it is definitely coming from the fan vent in the back. The smoke smells like burning paper/wood. :D
I just cleaned out the entire stove from ash and I didn't see anything there...I'll check again though.
I can get smoke to flow backwards through the secondary system and dump out of the square hole in the back during cold startup with the loading door open. Close the door and the smoke goes back in.
Awesome! I did have the door open when I did that, so I'll make sure to have the door closed.
It's okay to crack the door but with the door wide open I have the problem. That heavy, cold, smoke will pour out the back every time. Easy to try.
