SO onto my question CHAPS!!!!!

what are good quality chaps but wont break the bank

Glad you are OK.

I wouldn't worry about breaking the bank. Stopping that chain without going through will save you thousands.

Thankfully, the Labonbonville chaps are very reasonable. Made right here in the U.S.A. as well. They have probably stopped more chains than any other make. Get a pair of full-wrap 6-ply Labonvilles and you will have the very best at less money than a brand name set that you aren't sure where they are made.

yes its been on the to get list and after fridays near miss or "friendly reminder" i need to go get them

I am fairly certain Santa is bringing me a pair, hope I don't do something stupid before they arrive!

thats what the tractor supply by me has
I like those better than the ones I got:

My only complaint is that I often feel as if my inner thigh is exposed. If you make it into the store don't be afraid to yank them out of the box and try them on!

It's not just saws to be careful around. Saturday I was using the backpack blower to move some leaves. Took a couple steps back to get a better angle on some against my garage and before I knew it, I had tripped on my son's sandbox. Ended up hitting my head on the boat trailer....... 4 hours later, I'm the proud new owner of 6 shiny staples in the back of my head! Point is, I feel like an idiot, so be careful out there at all times!

Oh, and btw, I have pics if anyone says "it didn't happen without pics" hahahaha

Santa did the same for me about 3 years ago. I have never pulled the rip cord to start the saw without the chaps on since. What a great thoughtful gift its been.
