Solar in Japan after meltdown

An excellent use for solar! Especially since the only real natural resources that Japan has are people and timber. If they can become self sufficient in power generation they will be light years ahead of the other industrialized nations.

I would be interested to see how that changes power pushed through the grid on the large scale. Some have grid tied solar now. Imagine every 3rd or 4th house being grid tied and generating their own power, but pushing and pulling electricity as the weather changes and demand for wind and FF ebbs and flows.
