I'm always fascinated by songwriters and their processes. John Lennon ease dropped in the studio on Jackson Browne recording this song about a song writer friend Browne had known when they were both young and starting out. Browne's friend committed suicide. John Lennon thought it was a good song. Apparently Browne was honored. Later he performed a Lennon song at a tribute concert.

I liked both songs. The JL song I knew. JB is someone I have not followed much, but really enjoyed the song. Life is not always good, and addiction, abusive family issues ect can make some people take the fast route out of life. That song is a great way to help deal with a loss of a friend.
