As above. Fine.
I go through a 90 T where my horizontal section enters the flue liner.

I’ve gone through a 90 with one. Black rods. I hear there are white ones now also.

We have a pair of 45s in an offset. The sooteater barely notices them.

pair of45no problem

Any updates on this?

We’ve run the black rods around a 90 (T) with great success. It was the easiest thing and we didn’t have to get on the roof. I have gotten on the roof most times to clean it but it was mostly for inspection of flashings etc.
So with bad health or snow and ice up top, I’m sure others can be cleaned from the bottom as well. We always used a shop vacuum with the pipe taped closed down below to capture as much creosote as possible, and if you make a hole in the plastic for the rod this can be effective from the bottom as well.
