That's some mighty fine kindling there at the foot of the splitter. I always like to place a tarp under the work area. Makes it much easier to capture all the scraps to use later for kindling. Just sayin'

Beautiful. I love Beech. I have about a half cord for each of the next 2 winters. Good Jan/Feb overnight burns.

wont find a better wood in my opinion. I burn a lot of beech as much of it is dying on our property and hunting lease due to beech bark disease. dries fairly quick and throws the heat !
