Here's another Stihl I'm looking at, it's from the original owner, been in storage a long time. Seller stated it fired right up with new gas, has a 28" bar $389.

Old iron that will probably run for a long time...but ask yourself this....what is a chain break worth to you.

It's amazing how much difference anti-vibe makes, too. That looks like a beastly saw, though!

Are you looking for a saw to use, or just collecting? I don't know much about saws that old, but a perusal of eBay says that $389 is quite high, and parts will be difficult to come by.

I'm going to the PNW Wednesday afternoon and will continue my saw search there. I found a small Jonsered Chainsaw 20" for $40, seller can't get it to start.

Well my trip to the PNW was great. I didn't buy any saws and I see the three Douglas fir trees at my mothers house are doing well.
