I would buy a 660 if I had to and keep it new until the 661 came out. Then when the AS boys get in a tizzy about their beloved 660 being discontinued, (imagine the chit storm that blew in when the MS200T was pulled, only bigger. ) oh look at that, just happen to have a brand new 660 here for sale......

When I first saw the "dealer days" come up on their website 2 days ago I thought oh no, look out! A big sale or something, perfect timing but nooo........ Well they may have a trimmer on sale I think or a blower, I dont know but nothing I want this week, not that I know of anyways. Guys, do the dealers ever have sales or rebates or clearances? Just wondering.

It's rare for Stihl to actually drop a price on specific models. Even outgoing discontinued models. And at the rate they are selling the stuff, who can blame them? I won't say it never happens but don't hold your breath.

Individual dealers are free to run their own sales/promos but I can tell you there isn't a lot of room to discount new equipment. 10% off would be a fire sale price in many cases. Close to cost in some of the entry level trimmers/blowers.

Just set up a dummy email account through yahoo/gmail/hotmail etc. For things like this. That way your personal email is not flooded with junk anymore than it is already and you only have to check it once a week or so to keep it cleaned out.
