Stove installation tips

I have a stove venting idea for y'all.

Now on the Scale Of Terrible Ideas, this surprising new technique falls greatly below "Vent it directly into the bedroom for maximum heat", well below "Tie it in with the existing dryer vent", and significantly below "Chop a big hole in the roof right above the stove, no pipe required". So there have been worse ideas.

Now that you are in a more forgiving frame of mind, I give you.... whatever this is. Enjoy?

But he should have the pipe resting on a metal stand not wood.

Pink fiberglass melts at 1300 (much cooler than a chimney fire), and at 600ish it gradually turns into crumbly crud. You shouldn't use it on a flue, no matter what this guy or your "professional" installer tells you.

I thought I saw this video a couple years ago. The person got a lot of flack and installed a proper class A chimney the next season. But maybe it was just another hack that got wise and listened better.

The demonic pipe is entirely outside the house. He ran it last year as just single wall black pipe and it worked ok, but gathered a lot of creosote.
So he made up a home made insulated pipe. What is the big deal?
I give the guy and "A" for innovation. If there should be a chimney fire the fiberglass may melt, but, the reason he made the insulated pipe is to reduce creosote, thus dropping the chance of a chimney fire.

The only problem I see with his rig is the wooden support but, even that probably won't catch fire.
