Hello all
I'm looking to fill the hole where a fire is supposed to be
It's a larger fireplace 44wide x 34high and 23 deep
I've been looking at fpx large flush insert and blaze king but it's a 1/2 inch too high
Like the contemporary look bc house is modern style
Thank you for heads up

Take a look at the PE Neo 2.5
(broken link removed to http://www.pacificenergy.net/products/wood/inserts/neo-25-insert/)

and the Lopi Hybrid-Fire Large
(broken link removed to http://lopistoves.com/product-detail.aspx?model=422)

That could work well too. How large an area is being heated?

It all depends on the look your trying to have, you've got nice stone there, if you need alot of heat a free standing stove would be better, this is my flush insert, we like the look and it keeps our room warm.... You have many choices out there....[Hearth.com] Stove or insert Suggestion

Thank you
I do like the blaze king chinook 30 but it's a half inch too tall to fit
We like the contemporary/ modern style look
Maybe chinook 20 but firebox size drops drastically
The fpx insert has a 3ft box which seems sufficient to heat our house which is open floor plan about 3000ft to heat with large opening flowing to upstairs
But as mentioned the stand alone will produce much more heat but would the 20 do the job?
