Folks,
I have a Enviro Boston 1200 freestanding wood stove. This is a steel stove with bolted-on cast-iron sides and a cast-iron plate on top. This top plate has an approx 1/2 inch air gap between it and the steel top of the stove.
So I've been reading these fourms and about the importance of monitoring stove temperature. What is best place to put a thermometer on this beast? My concern is between stove top and cast-iron plate and it will read too high, and on top of the cast iron plate and too low due to the air gap? Somewhere on the door?
What do you other Enviro Boston owners do?
